Alexei Glumov is a self-taught artist and sculptor. An Honorary Member of the International Academy of Contemporary Arts, Alexei has developed his own interpretation of the abstract genre.

Alexey was born in 1971 in Uralsk, Kazakhstan.
Like many future artists, Alexei started drawing as a child, using watercolors and pencils. In school, notebook margins served as his canvas. Instead of following teachers’ tasks, he used art lessons in school to work on portraits.

In his teenage years, Alexei drew portraits of actors on cheap blank t-shirts and sketches on the walls of his friends’ homes.
Back in Uralsk, Alexei worked at a framing studio, where he studied the works of the world-renowned artist Saken Gumarov. Alexei copied his works simultaneously developing his own style and view of the world.

These days, Alexei Glumov works from his studio and creates unique paintings and sculptures using a vast variety of materials.

The world in Alexei’s paintings is always multi-layered, the elements and details come together to form a bigger picture, that usually gives the artworks their names. Even the most personal works, inspired by his own life, manage to capture the viewers’ attention and find an emotional response.

Alexei is the winner of the international competition “Art. Excellence. Awards”, “Dali’s Moustache” art contest, and “Luxembourg Arts Award”. His paintings and sculptures are included in private and public collections.
